"El momento previo a la forma" Melmann

El momento previo a la forma es el último álbum de Melmann, un collage sonoro inspirado en el cineasta Stan Brakhage quien en sus películas intenta retratar la percepción de un bebé, un mundo de contornos y colores indefinidos, ese momento entre la abstracción y la forma, donde la dimensión de las cosas apenas comienza a cobrar sentido. Las composiciones combinan instrumentos acústicos (arpas, lyra de cristal, steel tongue, percusión tonal, piano), con grabaciones de campo (Amazonía peruana - Berlín - Beijing) y electrónica, creando paisajes sonoros y armonías abstractas.

The album called "El Momento Previo a la Forma" (The moment before the shape) is the brand new album of Melmann, plays on the idea of abstraction, is inspired by the filmmaker Stan Brakhage who in their films try to portrait the world as a baby percibe it, that moment between shape and abstraction, undefined forms and colours.  You can understand it as a sound collage, combining acoustic instruments (harps, crystal lyra, hang drum, tonal percussion, etc.) with field recordings made in different parts of the world (Peruvian Amazon - Berlin - Beijing) and electronics creating abstract harmonies and soundscapes.
